Unbiased and Unpopular Opinions on TXT: From My Perspective in 2022
When it comes to K-pop, one group stands out for its consistent quality and musical output: TXT. Despite their consistent excellence, some don't recognize their true greatness. This article delves into my own biased (and sometimes unpopular) opinions about TXT from 2022, without trying to upset any fans or industry players.
Consistency and Quality
As one of the best K-pop groups out there, TXT continues to release some of the best songs in the industry, often outshining their own B-sides. While it's understandable to prefer a single group emotionally, it's impossible for me to focus solely on one K-pop group. I'm a devout Stray Kids fan, and I have always had a preference for k-hiphop/r-b over K-pop. However, I've found myself growing fond of TXT and their music.
The(txt)Gene
When it comes to concepts and genres, TXT excels. Songs like "1 Love Song - I Know I Love You" showcase the perfect blend of emotion and lyrical prowess. My opinion is that their future releases could benefit from a reduction in autotune or vocal effects. Sometimes, it can be challenging to distinguish their voices in songs, which might detract from the overall listening experience. However, I appreciate the uniqueness in each member's voice.
Members’ Strengths and Weaknesses
Each member of TXT has their own strengths and areas for improvement. Yeonjun, the group's leader, possesses a mix of charm and talent. Despite some fans' complaints about him stealing the limelight, he truly deserves the attention. His mischievous personality and leadership skills make him the most noticeable, but it's clear that he's also the most talented and charismatic member. During their training, Yeonjun consistently ranked first in every category.
Soobin, the leader, is an amazing vocalist and dancer. His ability to maintain control and restrain the group members is admirable. However, Big Hit Entertainment should showcase his vocal range more to let fans see his full potential. His dancing is also underrated, and it's safe to say that Soobin and Johnny NCT are both tall and extremely skilled dancers.
Taehyun is the group's joker, providing a lot of light moments with his witty remarks and energetic presence. While he is not as popular as some members, he has the potential to become the most popular member in the future. More love and attention should be given to Taehyun, as he is both prevalent and quiet at the same time.
Beomgyu, the group's dancer, has a unique voice that doesn't easily stand out. However, his visual presence and songwriting skills deserve more recognition. It's interesting to note how he and BTS's V share similarities in their personal connections and on-stage presence. Both are old souls, deeply connected to their fans, and excited by the smallest things in life, including their families.
Final Thoughts
Although these opinions might be unpopular, they are genuinely from my heart. I love TXT and think they have the potential to be even better in the future. Each member of TXT has their own unique strengths, and I hope that they continue to grow and shine in their own ways.
