I believe it's essential to have an open ear and listen to your parents' ideas, theories, or share their life experiences. The majority of parents naturally want their children to succeed in their lives on earth. However, in my case, my perception of parental love was contrary to the norm.
During my childhood, I did not fully grasp the concept of love and how parents express it. I thought all children were like me, left alone by their parents during the day. Growing up, I was largely left on my own. Nonetheless, I've been incredibly blessed by God, who showed me His true love and supported me through tough times. Working two jobs and funding my college education would have been impossible without His blessings. I cannot thank God enough for it and continue to look after me, allowing me to enjoy my life today.
