The Fate of the Three Elven Rings
by the elven lords of Middle-earth: Elrond, Galadriel, and Gandalf. These rings, known as the Rings of Power, were not destroyed like the others. They retained their power, but as the One Ring was destroyed, so were the special properties of the Three. The locations of these rings after the events of Mount Doom are known. Elrond and Galadriel kept their rings in Rivendell and Lothlórien, respectively, while Gandalf’s whereabouts are shrouded in secrecy. The fact that the elven people were no longer enchanted by the Three Rings indicated that their power was no longer effective, leading them to leave Middle-earth to seek their fate in the Undying Lands.
