The Bold Move That Paid Off: How We Fooled Our Science Teacher
As we were on an excursion to a neighboring state, we decided to play a little prank on our Science teacher. This mischief began as an attempt to get the group photos and selfies that our teacher had clicked but never shared with us. Even though we asked him several times, he always seemed to forget sending those pictures.
By the end, we became increasingly restless. Tired of waiting and not having any success in getting those photos, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Since my contact number was not saved in the teacher's phone and he lacked caller ID apps, we were confident that he wouldn't recognize my number.
Convenient as that was, we took things a step further. I changed my WhatsApp profile picture and status to something absurd—a photo of Momo and a creepy status message that I had found online. Then, we called him with a missed call and blocked his number to avoid receiving any calls back. We then sent a photo with my friend's face altered, along with a simple message demanding he send the photos.
There are actual websites where you can trick someone into downloading a file that allows you to access their phone's location and network status for a few minutes. We set this up and monitored the situation closely. The teacher responded to our messages but didn't act immediately.
To expedite the situation, we managed to get his IP address—though we weren't entirely sure how—and had a rough idea of his location. We took a screenshot of his location and sent it to him. This ploy seemed to work, as he panicked and immediately sent all the photos.
Ultimately, we decided to disclose our actions to the teacher before the situation got worse. Admitting what we had done helped preserve our relationship and the trust we had built throughout the excursion. This prank taught us the importance of considerate behavior and the potential consequences of impulsive actions.
