Preparation for Judgement: Reflecting on a Blasphemy Incident and Spiritual Redemption

Reflecting on a Blasphemy Incident: Preparing for Judgment

Have you ever felt as though you have been judged, not just by others but also by the unseen forces that guide us all? In my personal experience, I faced a moment that felt surreal and exhilarating at the same time. What have I done to prepare myself for my own judgment? Here is my journey and my reflections.

There came a time when I felt I had gone against the teachings of our faith, specifically blaspheming the Holy Spirit. This act of defiance against the divine sent ripples through the realm of heaven and hell, much like a stone thrown into a pond. Even the heavens and the hells seemed to hold their breath, awaiting the decision that would follow.

A Divine Confrontation

When Jesus appeared, it was sudden and unexpected. The encounter was intense, almost violent in its confrontation. I was immediately told that the pen was poised like an axe over my head, and I was judged fit to go into Hell, then into the Lake of Fire. The discussion lasted a long time, but ultimately, I was given a chance to be resurrected after a 7-hour-long discussion.

The Answer: Repentance and Redemption

The outcome of this encounter was not predetermined by any higher power. Instead, it was an opportunity for repentance and redemption. The answer, and perhaps the most crucial lesson, was to repentance. This mea culpa was not just a public declaration of remorse, but a deep, personal commitment to change.

What have I done to prepare myself for my own judgement? I have started to truly obey the teachings of Jesus. It is a profound realization that we will be judged on the words and teachings of Jesus, as stated in John 12:48. Many profess to be Christian, but without truly knowing what Jesus taught, professing faith is merely empty words.

Seeking Redemption and Forgiveness

As I think about my journey so far, I have learned to seek redemption. This means acknowledging my mistakes and asking for forgiveness. Additionally, resisting temptations is crucial, but ultimately, the foundation of our faith is resting in the salvation of Christ. It is His efforts that have paved the way for us all.

Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. In doing so, I have passed from judgment to life. Accepting Christ as my personal Saviour is not just a moment of faith, but a lifelong commitment to leading a life that is in tune with the teachings of Jesus.

Daily Devotions and Spiritual Practices

To maintain a connection with the divine and to prepare myself for judgment, I engage in a variety of daily devotions and spiritual practices. These include:

I pray daily: I have both a personal morning and evening prayer routine, and I try to attend to my regular rosary and Compline from the Breviary. If time permits, I meditate on the Divine Office from the Breviary and attempt daily meditations. Attend confession: I was once able to go every week, but due to practical difficulties such as a 30-minute drive to the church, I now only confess every other week. My mother brings me Holy Communion on Sundays, and the priest also provides confession and anointing as needed. Symbolic Acts of Communion: When the priest comes to my home, he takes the time to anoint me, adding a layer of spiritual blessing and support.

Each of these practices serves as a reminder of both my failings and the grace that surrounds me. By acknowledging my past mistakes and actively seeking forgiveness, I believe I am taking the necessary steps to prepare for the ultimate judgment.

Conclusion

Preparing for judgment is an ongoing process that requires a daily commitment to faith, obedience, and repentance. While the path may be fraught with obstacles and challenges, the journey itself is a testament to the love and forgiveness of Christ. Through faith and devotion, we can find hope and redemption.
