My Most Incredibe Adventures: From Motorcycle Journeys to Kite Flying
I embarked on a cross-country motorcycle journey one year ago, traveling from Washington State to Florida. This was undoubtedly one of the coolest experiences of my 35 years on this earth. It was a remarkable journey filled with adventures that I will cherish forever.
A Ten-Year-Old’s Triumph: A Kite That Flew Twice
Another incredible memory is from my childhood when I bought a kite for $2, realizing decades later that I was the one who owned it due to a fortunate slip of a stone. I bought the kite on holiday, using a stone as an anchor. However, during the flight, the stone slipped, and the card tube of the kite, along with the kite, ended up in the sea. Instead of giving up, I decided to retrieve the kite. I managed to save the card tube, which provided enough resistance to allow the kite to soar into the sky. Surprisingly, the kite didn't actually soar; it was more like it skimmed the surface or was towed under, allowing it to fly over the water. To this day, I still remember watching it disappear over the horizon.
Accidental Odysseys and Post-Apocalyptic Days
Perhaps even more extraordinary was my accidental journey into an alternate reality. I found myself in a post-apocalyptic Terminator world, one of the scariest days of my life. This experience was both terrifying and memorable, highlighting the fragility of life and the potential for the unknown.
A World Traveler's Journey
I have had the incredible privilege of travelling to all seven continents and visiting 133 different countries. Some of my most memorable experiences include flying to Mt. Everest, dipping my feet in the Dead Sea, and cruising through both major oceans and many famous rivers. I’ve explored the big cities and their museums across the globe and even visited Esperanza Base in Antarctica, one of the most unique and remote locations on the planet. My career in accounting has been a solid foundation, but my greatest joy has been the friendships I have made in so many countries.
A Hockey Champion Extraordinaire
One year, a hockey-themed adventure added to my list of incredible experiences. I played in two different adult men's hockey leagues. Just before the playoffs, I got a new job and had to move to a new city, but one of my teams offered to pay for my gas to drive back for playoff games. Despite having a less active role in one league, I happened to be back in town for their final playoff game on the same weekend as my other team's championship match. Together, we won both championships, a testament to the teamwork and the unexpected joys of life.
The Lessons I've Learned
