My Journey Through Live K-Pop Concerts: Recent Attendances and Upcoming Shows
As a devoted fan of K-pop, attending live concerts is one of the ultimate experiences for me. Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of attending several exciting concerts, both live and virtually. In this article, I will share my recent live attendance experiences and detail my upcoming shows.
My Last Live K-Pop Concert: Stray Kids in NYC
These days, one of the biggest perks of being a K-pop fan is the ability to attend live shows, whether they are in your city or across the globe. In 2020, I had the chance to attend a live concert by the talented group Stray Kids in New York City. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.
Stray Kids 2020 NYC Concert
On January 30, 2020, I attended the set list of Stray Kids, witnessing the group's explosive performance as they sang hit after hit. From the moment they took the stage, it was evident that they were the most energetic and engaging performers I had ever seen. The concert had a fantastic atmosphere, with the audience madly singing along to the group's catchy tunes and bopping along to their dynamic dance moves.
Monsta X and Ateez Ticket Postponements
After the success of the Stray Kids concert, I had high hopes for attending more live events with my favorite K-pop groups. Unfortunately, my future plans didn't turn out as expected. In February 2022, I purchased tickets for a Monsta X concert in Charlotte, NC, which was initially set for February 14, 2022. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, the event was postponed, and I'm still waiting for a new date and venue to be announced. Similarly, my tickets for the upcoming Ateez tour are still not rescheduled.
BTS and NCT's Refund Decision
While I was patiently waiting for my postponed concerts, I found out that my fellow K-pop fan base was being well taken care of by their favorite artists. Both BTS and NCT decided to refund their fans for the tickets of the concerts they had to cancel or postpone. This kind of decision showed the level of care and understanding these groups have for their fans.
Upcoming Show: Eric Nam in Charlotte, NC
In light of the postponements, I decided to take advantage of my ticket purchasing powers and signed up for a new event: Eric Nam's concert at the Charlotte Charlotte Convention Center. Eric Nam, a versatile performer and singer, has been busy with a tour that includes several US cities and an upcoming European tour. I can't wait to see him perform and hear the stories behind his music up close and personal.
