Movie Review: Shamshera 2022 - A Disappointing Comedy

Shehzada Review: I think Rohit Dhawan should call it quits. This is the most pathetic comedy movie I have seen after Rohit Shettys “Circus”. There is the only one scene that will make you cry is that of Ronit Roy confessing to his wife that he had an extramarital affair for 7 years. Besides this, this movie is complete hogwash. Spoilers ahead, move ahead with your own risk.

Intro

Two babies are being born at the same hospital. One family is the lower middle class of Paresh Rawal, and the other family is a multimillionaire family of Ronit Roy. Two babies are born healthy, but Ronit Roy’s son stopped breathing after some time. This is the time Paresh Rawal told the nurse to replace his son with Ronit Roy’s dead son.

Plot Twist

Now, you all must be thinking what a selfless act was done by Paresh Rawal. But this was done in an act of revenge. Ronit Roy married a girl who is super rich, and became a multimillionaire, while Paresh Rawal was still a poor soul. They both started their careers at the same time, but fortune favored Ronit Roy. So, Paresh Rawal wanted his son to live as a prince, and hence the replacement was made.

Now, once the replacement was made, Ronit Roy’s dead son started breathing, and the nurse wanted to make things right but Paresh Rawal said that it was the baby’s fate. The boy could have cried during the replacement, but he breathed live after the replacement was made. So, Paresh Rawal snatched Ronit Roy’s son and pushed the nurse from the second floor of the hospital.

Now the rest of the film is all about how Karthik Aryan comes to know that Ronit Roy is the real father and how Karthik Aryan saves a rich but broken home from being shattered by their enemies. Super boring and makes your mind freeze. Kriti Sanon; I don't know why she is even here. She dances, lip-syncs with Karthik Aryan, and delivers shabby acting all across the film.

Don't watch. Save your mental health.

It is okay to watch if you have not seen the original version. However, if you have already seen the Allu Arjun version, you will be disappointed with Shehzada. Kartik, though a fine actor, is not able to match the swag and style of Allu Arjun.
