Introduction
Welcome back to another journey through the myriad of memories from my school days! If you haven't read Part 1 and Part 2, I highly recommend checking them out. Each story is a testament to the unique moments that shaped our adolescence. Today, we continue with Part 3, delving into the unexpected and amusing moments that add flavor to our education.
Story 3: The Glass of Cold Drink
As we transitioned from first to second grade, our English teacher, Ma'am, got a reputation for her stern and often frowning demeanor. Her strictness had a fascinating twist, as she never smiled, drawing the conclusion that she might not even have any[1].
Now, imagine the scenario where we received a glass of cold drink during a lesson, and our teacher was asked to drink it. Don't imagine her being happy about it, however, as she ordered the entire class to close our eyes for two minutes while she took a sip[2].
She did that to relievedly keep our eyes closed, probably fearing that if we saw her drink, we would be even more terrified. It was a moment that only few of us would see, and no one expected our teacher to display such an unusual act. Do take it in good spirit and not as an offense. I might have made it sound a bit too disrespectful, so please take it with a pinch of salt.
Why This Delay?
Oh, and before diving into the story, let me quickly explain the delay in publishing this part. My exams had commenced, and then I took a brief break. You can guess how that went - worse than I imagined. Handling schoolwork combined with the planning and implementing of posts can be rather tedious. It's a good reminder to myself to manage my time more wisely in the future.
One day, right after the incident with the cold drink, I was dragged into a school assembly. Man, that wasn't a mistake, it was a demand. The sudden shift in focus from my exams to school duties was a challenging turnaround. Remember, these moments of humor and mischief were a stark contrast to the more serious days filled with assignments and correction of notebooks. Each story is a reminder that life in school is not just about the textbooks and the teachers, but also about the small, unforgettable moments that make us laugh.
