The Unexpected Waking Up and A Random Taunt
Usually, I wake up at the crack of dawn, but after a few days of being unwell, I woke up a bit later. Today, my wake-up time was around 7 to 8:30 AM - pretty late for me. As soon as I woke up, my thoughts were still swirling, processing and organizing my day. It was then that my father, APPA, shouting from the living room said something that made me smile - "Tiger woke up."
I wasn't sure if it was meant as a taunt or just a daily reminder that I am a strong girl; it brought a smile to my face, a welcome change to my otherwise sluggish morning.
Professionalism and Humor in an Interview
Today, I attended an interview for an internship. Only 45 out of many candidates made it to the second round. Despite the high stakes, my day didn't start too well.
After waiting for nearly two hours, I was asked to go to a cabin where the interviewer was waiting. The door, however, was proving to be a bit difficult. After trying to open it for 5 seconds, I couldn't get it to budge. The interviewer noticed my struggle and quickly opened the door, and I burst out laughing. The interviewer, a young and professional individual, had a charming smile and managed to keep the atmosphere light and somewhat awkward.
Once inside, the interviewer asked, 'How was your day?' I responded, 'It was good.' He then glanced at my resume before asking, 'You didn’t mention your hobbies here. Tell me about your hobbies.' Without a second’s hesitation, I replied, 'I like to listen to music and watch dramas.'
To my surprise, he responded, 'Korean dramas.' My first thought was, 'Do they have a Korean drama fan in the office!?' I nodded and we both dissolved in laughter for a good 10 seconds. This laughter helped to ease the tension, and we continued with the interview.
