If I Were Omnipotent for 72 Hours: A Vision for Justice and Balance

What Would I Do if I Were Omnipotent for 72 Hours?

Sincerely, as a woman with Asperger's and a rather immovable moral code, I will flat out tell you what I would do if given the opportunity to be omnipotent for 72 hours.

Addressing Harm and Punishment

First and foremost, I would punish every last remorseless xenophobic murderer, poacher, rapist, and child and animal abuser. These individuals would experience their worst nightmares coming to life. Alternatively, they would face gruesome consequences akin to those depicted in EC’s horror comics.

I would also address those in power who are not held accountable due to the public’s refusal to recognize their wrongdoing. This would include punishing those who evade justice due to their influential positions.

Scaring the Knowing and Cynical

I would scare the living daylights out of bitter cynics and know-it-alls who mistreat nice people out of spite or for trivial reasons. The goal is to make them second-guess their actions and improve their character.

Restoring Balance for Wildlife

I would strive to restore some form of balance so that endangered animals I favor increase their numbers decently. This would ensure the survival of these species and the ecological balance they represent.

Forging a New Path with a Deity Role

Assuming the role of a god—or a god of your choosing—would involve a thorough review of the past actions of the Abrahamic deity. I would carefully identify and address the potential devil-doubters and malcontents.

An advisory committee would be formed, and the following proposition would be presented: 'The previous deity did many good things, creating butterflies and neural synapses and other beneficial entities. However, it is evident that some mistakes were made. We have called you together for a brainstorming session to propose improvements that will positively impact Earth and its inhabitants, while minimizing changes. I want a world of happiness, cooperation, and mutual love. I will give you until Saturday to submit your proposals."

Violating Free Will with Caution

Given a deity with the power to violate free will, such as Jehovah or Allah, the actions taken would need to carefully consider the consequences. The goal would still be to ensure a world of happiness, cooperation, and mutual love, but the means to achieve this would involve a reevaluation of past decisions and the potential for change.
