How to Unveil the Truth in Destiny 2: A Detailed Guide

Unveiling the ultimate relic, Truth, in Destiny 2 is a quest filled with challenges, rewards, and a unique narrative. This guide walks you through the intricate steps required to guide you to the mysterious chest. Let's embark on this adventure together.

Step 1: Boost Your Power Level and Complete Menagerie

To begin your journey, you must reach at least a power level of 690. Complete The Invitation quest and ensure you run the Menagerie on Nessus. Once you've completed the boss, a quest pursuit will drop, requesting you to visit Petra Venj in the Dreaming City. She will give you the mission to find A Scrap of Paper.

Step 2: Complete the Ascendant Challenge

Next, Petra will guide you to complete an Ascendant Challenge. These challenges change weekly, so make sure to check which one is available in the current week.

If you haven't completed one before, you will need to grab some Tincture of Queensfoil. Once you have it, proceed to complete the Ascendant Challenge. Upon opening the chest at the end, you'll receive the next step of your quest.

Step 3: Find and Decode the Map Fragments

The next requirement is to find four map fragments. These can be obtained by completing the A Map Asunder quest. Each fragment holds a riddle within its description.

A unique feature of this quest is that you can complete some fragments multiple times. This means you can find a specific fragment, complete it, and then recollect it for the other fragments.

Fragment 1: Complete a Nightfall strike. Fragment 2: Use a Tincture of Queensfoil and locate an Ascendant Chest on Nessus. Fragment 3: Find an Ascendant Chest within the Dreaming City. Fragment 4: In Patrol, kill an Ogre in the same location as you found The Mindbender on The Tangled Shore.

Step 4: Decode the Map Fragments

Once you acquire the fragments, you need to complete the following objectives to decode them:

Decode Fragment 1: Complete three Patrol missions in the Dreaming City and kill Hive enemies on The Tangled Shore for 100 points. Killing challenging enemies awards additional points. Decode Fragment 2: Complete three Nightfall Strikes with a power handicap of 100 or more and kill 60 enemies with rocket launchers. Decode Fragment 3: Get 50 kills with a rocket launcher while in ascendant state on Nessus. Decode Fragment 4: When in Patrol, kill an Ogre in the same location as you found The Mindbender on The Tangled Shore.

Step 5: The Warden of Nothing Strike and Final Steps

The final two steps of the journey are found within the Warden of Nothing strike as part of Candy From a Baby. Equip the Tincture of Queensfoil but wait until the end to use it. This strike can be launched from the Destinations screen.

During the strike, you must find seven Fallen artefacts. Missing these can be challenging, as they are quite hard to miss due to their glowing aura and positioning. Collect these artefacts by:

On the first entry door, atop a set of boxes after killing the first Minotaur. In the back corner, near the pikes after falling through the floor hole. Jumping on top of the steel railings in the room with four trams. In an underground tunnel with pikes, atop gas canisters. On top of orange piping as you leave the tram section. To the right of the barrier dropping in the room where the large Minotaur is fought. Underneath the Scorch Cannon platform in the arena fight area. Near the B mine defuse area, on top of boxes.

Once you've collected all the artefacts, continue to the boss. Just before killing the boss, use the Tincture of Queensfoil to spawn the Ascendant platforms. Descend using these platforms until you reach the chest. Opening it will grant you Truth and homing rocket launcher kills in PvP.
