Motivation is the force that propels us towards our goals and helps us achieve what we are capable of. Whether you're fighting through a tough period or simply wanting to stay on track, motivation can be a tricky thing to come by. Here are some tips to help you stay motivated and overcome the comparison trap.

1. Compare Your Current Self to Your Past Self

One of the best ways to stay motivated is to compare your current self to your past self. Even if your health or financial situation might be better than in the past, you have more experience and a broader perspective. Reflect on how this experience has enriched your life and made you a more interesting person. Ponder how your past experiences have equipped you with skills and wisdom that can be applied now.

2. Consider the Most Important Things in Life

Is your job title, car, or physique the most significant aspect of your life? Often, what we strive for in life is not what defines us. Instead, focus on the kind of person you want to be.
