Extracurricular Activities That Enriched My College Experience and Beyond

While my primary focus during college was dedicated to honing my writing skills, I also engaged in a variety of enriching extracurricular activities that have stayed with me long after graduation.

Writing and Reading

Most of my free time was spent writing. I read a good article or a few pages from my favorite books every day. Continuous learning and personal growth have been vital to me throughout my career.

Musical Pursuits

Playing the guitar is another passion of mine. My inclination towards the sadness and connection found in the lyrics of songs remains a mystery to me even now. This side of music continues to enrich my life and provide a way to express myself.

Social Interactions and Networking

Friendships are a critical part of my social circle. In college, I dedicated precious time to developing these connections, learning valuable life lessons, and nurturing meaningful relationships.

Chess and Mind Games

Chess, though not a daily part of my routine, is one of my cherished hobbies. I am a member of the Black Knight Chess Club and still enjoy playing whenever I get the chance. It's a game that challenges me as much as it entertains.

Physical Fitness

Physical health is a top priority. Regularly working out in the gym keeps me fit and healthy. Maintaining a fit lifestyle is not just a fashion statement but a necessity for me.

Academic Contributions and Mentorship

During my third year, I took on the role of Coordinator at Codetronics, which occupied a significant portion of my extracurricular time. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I hope my juniors appreciate the journey as much as I do.

Sleep and Time Management

Sleep is a major time consumer for me, but it is essential for my well-being. Finding ways to manage my sleep better and incorporate more efficient time management strategies is always a work in progress for me.

Rounding Up College Activities

During my college years, I was involved in five different societies, with a special interest in the Theatre society. However, I had to leave it mid-way due to time constraints. My involvement in non-profit organizations, such as the National Service Scheme, was also significant, reflecting my commitment to giving back to the community.

I also participated in inter-college competitions, which broadened my horizons and introduced me to new opportunities. Engaging in activities like slam poetry, drama, research papers, debates, and other writing competitions has left a lasting impact on my personal and professional growth.

Engaging in extracurricular activities has been a valuable part of my life, providing not just entertainment but also valuable life lessons and connections. It's clear that these experiences are still influential in my journey, and they continue to shape who I am.
