Creating My Own Sinister Six for Venom and Superman

Creating My Own Sinister Six for Venom and Superman

As a fan of all things superhero, I find the concept of a Sinister Six team to be particularly intriguing. For both Venom and the Man of Steel, Superman, I've crafted my own unique Sinister Six teams that delve into lesser-known and potentially darker aspects of their rogues' galleries.

My Venom Sinister Six

For my favorite character, Eddie Brock as Venom, I've created a Sinister Six team that includes both well-known foes and some creative newcomers. In my ideal Venom Sinister Six, the team would consist of:

Carnage: The Scorpion: Mr. Negative: Pyre: Dr. Paine: Virus:

Carnage, as the arch-nemesis, is a no-brainer for the team. The Scorpion has been a recurring villain since the Costa run, adding an interesting dynamic. Mr. Negative, from Eddie's Anti-Venom days, introduces a personal connection. Pyre, while from a not-so-great storyline conceptually, can serve as a reminder of Venom's failures. Dr. Paine, with magical knowledge, rounds out the team. Virus, a new incarnation, adds intrigue that keeps him a mystery.

My Superman Sinister Six

When it comes to Superman, the choice of villains is arguably more numerous, but where's the fun in using the obvious choices? My Superman Sinister Six includes some lesser-known villains that fans might not immediately think of, adding a unique twist:

The Ultra-Humanite: The first of my Sinister Six, The Ultra-Humanite, combines the intellect of Lex Luthor with the enhanced body of a gorilla. Serving as the strategist of this new team, he's an excellent leader. Riot (Frederick von Frankenstein): Known for his ability to clone himself, Riot serves as a distraction, keeping Superman off balance while the heavy hitters take the lead. Repo Man (Jesse): With the ability to increase his size to three-story heights, Repo Man acts as a formidable tank in the team, providing both protection and offense. Conduit (Kenny Braverma): Armed with his suit that can fire Kryptonite radiation beams, Conduit uses his Kryptonite cables to weaken Superman, responding to an emotional threat from their past in Smallville. Manchester Black: A powerful mind-wrestler, Manchester Black uses his telepathy and telekinesis to keep Superman off-guard, much like Mysterio did in previous storylines. Bizarro: As the imperfect clone of Superman, Bizarro possesses most of Clark's powers with the inverse version, acting as the team's heavy hitter and primary threat.

Why These Villains?

I chose these villains for the Sinister Six for two main reasons. First, they are often overlooked by both DC and fans, providing a fresh and unique twist. Second, they represent a broader range of Superman's villains, showing that his rogues' gallery is much more diverse and interesting than just the usual suspects like Lex Luthor, Doomsday, Darkseid, General Zod, and Brainiac.

While Rampage, Atomic Skull, and Bloodsport were nearly included but ended up as honorable mentions, this lineup brings an exciting and underutilized group of villains to the table.

Let's face it, with superpowers and limitless crossovers, the possibilities for creating new and exciting teams are endless. So, what about you? If you could create a Sinister Six for your favorite superhero, who would be on your team?
