Blackpink Choreography Analysis: Rank from Best to Worst
As a seasoned SEOer and kpop enthusiast, I've delved deep into analyzing the choreography of one of the K-pop industry's most talented groups, Blackpink. Want to know my personal ranking of their dance routines from the best to the worst? Let's break it down!
Best Dances
Top 3: Whistle
Rank: 3rd
This dance practice is a treat! Despite the fast speed, it's impressively clean and interesting. While it may not be the pinnacle of Blackpink choreography, it's what I consider as one of the best – at least, in third place.
Top 2: As If Its Your Last
Rank: 2nd
Often underrated, this As If Its Your Last dance is a total game-changer! The hip-hop feel of this choreography makes it exceptionally fun to learn. Just as addictive as it is inspiring, it takes top honors over most of the group's routines.
Top 1: Don't Know What to Do
Rank: 1st
In my opinion, this Don't Know What to Do showcases Blackpink's best work. Not just the best, but among my favorite Kpop dances. It's impeccably clean and, though challenging, achievable. The routine flawlessly matches the song and tempo, making it one of the best of all time.
Worst Dances
Third Last: Ddu Du Ddu Du
Rank: 3rd Last
A mix of weakness and strength, Ddu Du Ddu Du is an above-average routine that falls just short of the top tier. While the dance break is decent, it lacks the addictiveness of some other routines. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not making the cut for favorite.
Second Last: Boombayah
Rank: 2nd Last
Boombayah is one of my personal favorites, but the choreography is, sadly, just an average of all the choreography. Head movements are iconic but take a toll on the soul of the routine. It’s not terrible, just not as compelling as some of the other routines.
Last: Ice Cream
Rank: 1st Last
Believe it or not, Ice Cream is the clumsiest of all. The dance elements were seen through a Zepeto character, making it a bit too easy. This visual aligns with the song’s user-generated content, but it’s a weird, light routine that's not particularly noteworthy.
Best Solo Dance
Money Lisa
Solo-wise, LALISA's performance in Money takes the crown. It’s highly entertaining and surprisingly appealing, despite some minor tweaks that might hinder the flow. It's particularly engaging for Western audiences, perfectly matching the song’s vibe and energy.
Worst Solo Dance
On the Ground Rosé
Rosé's solo in On the Ground is satisfying and well-performed, yet the choreography falls a little short. The floor routine is visually underwhelming when viewed from the front. When viewed live, it's clear that it's among the lesser of Rosé's routines.
Keep in mind, this is strictly a personal opinion. Feel free to share your thoughts and we can all debate which dances are the best and which ones have the most flaws. Let's not start a hate riot, though – let's just have a thoughtful discussion!
