Beach Bliss: Discovering Snazzy Beaches Around the World

I can't help but love the beach. There's something incredibly soothing about the serene sound of waves lapping against the shore and the warmth of the sun on my skin. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of capturing some of my best beach moments, particularly in the Maldives where turquoise waters and pristine white sand beaches offered an idyllic escape. But the search for beauty doesn't end there—water adventures come in all shapes and sizes, from bustling oceans to peaceful lakes.

A Winter Resort Beach in Norway

One of my most cherished beach experiences was during a trip to Norway. Despite the chilly weather, the Norwegian coasts were adorned with some of the loveliest beaches I've ever seen. The combination of the crisp air, the clean sea, and the white sand made for a truly magical experience. Even in the heart of winter, the beach shone with a luminous charm that I'll never forget.

Snazzy Beaches in Cape Cod and Bermuda

My travel adventures extend far beyond the Norwegian winter wonderlands. In January, I ventured to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where the beaches were practically deserted. The pinkish sand and the turquoise waters made for a stunning contrast, perfect for a quiet day of walking and introspection. When the weather turned a bit stormier and the temperature dropped, we made our way to Bermuda's Horseshoe Beach. The warm and clear waters, and the vibrant pink sand, were like stepping into a fairytale—certainly one of the most unique beaches I've ever photographed.

A Beach in Martha's Vineyard with a Twist

Exploring Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, yielded unexpected beach adventures. This particular location was close to the Gay Head Lighthouse, and the sand and cliffs nearby were a vibrant mix of colors, creating a picturesque scene. The area was not just a visual feast but also a serene retreat, allowing us to disconnect from the world and immerse ourselves in nature's beauty.

Beavertail Lighthouse and Kayaking Bliss

The Beavertail Lighthouse at the southern tip of Jamestown, on the Island of Narragansett Bay, offered a mix of adventure and tranquility. Throwing caution to the wind, we explored the area while kayaking in the high swells, and the cliffs provided a dramatic backdrop for our escapades. On that particular day, the weather and sea conditions were treacherous, prompting a safe retreat, but the opportunity to catch some great waves made the experience all the more memorable.

Lake Michigan's Coastal Beauty

Even inland, there's beauty to behold, and Lake Michigan was no exception. Despite its vast size, the lake's shoreline exuded an ocean-like charm but without the salt. The beaches along its shores were as picturesque as any I've encountered, and the proximity to the vast lake created a stark contrast to the glistening sands of the beach.

All of these photos were captured by me, Anna K., and represent a diverse range of beach experiences. From the tranquil white sands of the Maldives to the dramatic cliffs and beaches of America, there's something snazzy about every place I've visited. Water adventures, be they in oceans, lakes, or any other body of water, are always an exciting and invigorating experience.
